6 hour 1-1 Beginners Wax Carving and Finishing Jewellery Workshop

Join us at our cottage workshop in rural Northamptonshire for two 3 hour morning sessions to make a piece of jewellery using the ancient technique Lost Wax Casting. Your wax design will be cast in London, ready for you to return two weeks later to learn the skills to finish your design using tools in our workshop.

Day 1, 10-1pm will begin with an introduction to Lost wax Casting, you will then design with Emily your unique piece taking into consideration size and weight, you will learn moulding skills and create your chosen design in soft wax which will be sent to London to be cast in silver.

Day 2, 10-1pm your silver cast will be ready for you to finish. You will learn traditional techniques including filing, soldering and polishing to complete your design. You will leave Day 2 with your finished piece ready to be worn with pride!

Details

This workshop can be run as 1-1 or bring a friend and work 2-1 and split the cost.

Each morning workshop runs from 10-1pm and includes full use of the workshop and all the tools required, postage, casting charges, 5g of silver, cake and tea or coffee.

*Silver above the 5g allowance will be invoiced at cost price following Day 1 before casting.
